Where to even begin with this wedding?
Well, I will first say that the reason why it took me so long to blog this wedding was because I only wanted it to be viewed on the new website. This wedding. . .this couple. . .it was no accident that our paths crossed and the stars aligned just right for us to find each other. I truly believe we were paired for a reason, I adore this couple so much it’s crazy. If meeting at summer camp at the young age of 14 and falling in love isn’t the cutest story you’ve ever heard, then I don’t know what is. You hardly hear stories like this anymore and for that reason alone, their love is truly special. Within a few email exchanges between Elsa and I she simply said, “I know it sounds very cliché, but I’m telling you. . .this man just makes my heart jump right up to the moon and back again every time he looks at me. We are each others soulmates and we just know what the other is thinking. Everyday we tell the other one how much we love each other and how much we appreciate our life together. . .” Feel free to enter your “awwwww’s” here! C’MONNNN. Way too cute, love them to pieces.
Not only was this a special memory to me because of their wedding and amazing friendship we developed, but it was also the first time I was able to take my mom on one of my big trips. Before heading out to the wedding, we spent a good three days or so exploring and eating our way through Stockholm. It was so much fun to have her with me and show her an amazing part of the world. I fell in love with Sweden, I really did. Joel and Elsa made us feel like family and I can never thank them enough for choosing me to document their special day and the insane amount of love that they have for one another. This is what I love about my job. The fact that two total strangers will invite me into some of the most intimate moments in their lives. They trust me. I get to share meals with loved ones, sunbathe on the beach with some of their closest friends, laugh along with all the crazy/funny performances that take place as Swedish weddings. . .there is nothing that I love more than experiencing a different part of the world. A different culture. I feel so lucky to have met these two crazy love-birds.
