I have been waiting patiently to finally post this wedding. Well things are finally under control and I’ve had some time to really work on this post…so here it is! I can’t begin to tell you just how thankful I am that Sean Flanigan asked me to assist him with this wedding. I have some of my best work and favorite shots of the year throughout this post! So…THANK YOU Sean, seriously. I had so much fun shooting with Sean, bouncing ideas off one another and continually being inspired by the different locations, the light, and of course this AMAZING couple. I love everything about Gillian…her dress, shoes, head piece, that awesome nose ring, and obviously her black wedding ring!!! Let’s just say I want to BE her when I get married…only like a whole foot shorter : ). Even if we tried, I don’t think anyone could take a bad photo of these two…they were absolutely stunning and their love for one another was so fun to capture on camera.
I just have to say one more time how thankful I am for this photography community. I am constantly overwhelmed by how kind, generous, and supportive everyone is. There are so many amazingly talented photographers here in Seattle and when starting out, that can be so intimidating. A year ago I decided to put that fear to the side and reach out to those who inspire me…I am so thankful God gave me the courage to do that because now I have so many new awesome friends within this industry.
I hope you all enjoy this post, I put a lot of love into it : ) If you want to see the real magic created from this wedding…check out Sean’s post HERE. I’m not going to lie…I was really nervous about this post, but I have come to appreciate the fact that even though Sean and I were shooting the same wedding, our perspectives are completely different. Each photo we took has a little piece of our hearts in it…and I think that is what makes photography so unique.
