My oh my…where do I even begin with this wedding.
The first time meeting Elizabeth & Eric was on their actual wedding day…which doesn’t happen very often. But with them being states away, we only had Skype to resort to…our first Skype date was quite lovely. I knew immediately that this was going to be a wedding that I would never ever forget. They talked about their love and how they met…and then they informed me of a few *special* events that would take place throughout their wedding day…
When their wedding day arrived everything was perfect. The mood, the emotions, the laughs…everything was on point and I knew this was going to be one of my favorite days. There were so many moments throughout Elizabeth and Eric’s wedding day that completely took my breath away. Basically made me want to go and get married in the middle of nowhere with like 15 people…no seriously, check out their wedding and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Their is something so special and intimiate about small weddings that I just *click* with…don’t get me wrong, I love big weddings too…but man on man, small weddings are where it’s at.
Elizabeth, Eric, and family…thank you so much for letting me a part of such a special, beautiful day in your lives. This was a wedding that I will never forget for so many reasons. You all made me feel like family and that is something I am so thankful for. Love you guys. And a big thank you to Jess Roy for helping me out on the wedding day!
xoxo.

This shovel has a story…don’t you worry.

Once we did Elizabeth & Eric’s first look and a few portraits…we headed to the Gonzaga campus to visit a very special bench. The bench was placed along the river in remembrance of Elizabeth’s father. At the bench, Elizabeth & Eric spent some quiet moments together and Eric also gave Elizabeth a very special ring that her father had given her mother…this was a beautiful moment.

Since the passing of Elizabeth’s father…she has worn a special blue bracelet and her wedding day was the day she decided to remove the bracelet and bury it next to her father’s bench to represent this next amazing chapter in her life. I love that Elizabeth and Eric had so many special little moments throughout their wedding day that represented important things. Burying her bracelet was one of those moments that even photos wouldn’t be able to show the emotion behind the act.

If only I could tell you guys what Elizabeth said at this moment to get *that* reaction out of Eric!

If you are a bride wanting to get married in the middle of nowhere…please call me. For real.

After their AWESOME ceremony, Elizabeth & Eric decided to have their *first dance* out in this open field with only them and this amazing musician. Another favorite moment of the day…

As we all sat down to enjoy a very lovely meal, Elizabeth’s mother turns to her right and notices this empty chair and it almost takes her breath away. She could have sworn she counted the chairs *just right*…but somehow there was one extra chair. She looks up and says, “I know whose chair this is..” and then smiles. Elizabeth’s father was very much a part of her beautiful wedding day.
If you are a couple planning your wedding and wanting to do something unique and special, I’m your girl.
No one’s love is the same, and that is something to celebrated.
Good shit right here.
Oh Tonhya. The one where he’s holding her face and kissing her cheek… The ones in the field with the yellow grass…. THE BRACELET! Oh my. I cried. And then when I realized the ceremony was at the cemetery.. The flood gates opened. You captured this beautifully. What a truly beautiful day. I have always felt there is something sacred & solemn about cemeteries. They’re so peaceful. What a special way to pay tribute to her father. High fives girl. You are good. real good.
Seriously, one of your best TKW.
