Over the past few weeks I’ve somehow managed to set a lot of fears aside to make what once were little ideas…into reality. Moving to New York at the beginning of this year sounded like a horrible idea to most people. I mean, who moves to New York in the dead of winter right? Well, I did and I really did plan it that way. I love having a fresh start at the beginning of the year. Set goals, write down dreams, make promises to change things that maybe only last a week…but hey, it’s the thought that counts right? One thing I’m holding myself to is the permission to just DO. It sounds simple, but I swear the devil gets the best of me sometimes.<\/p>\n
JUST DO.<\/strong><\/p>\n Don’t worry about anything else but doing what drives you. I knew that with moving to New York, I wanted to change some things within my business and also give myself the space to try new things. To figure out what really makes me tick. As I explained in my La Femme Forte project blog post<\/a>, I’ve found “my thing”. The thing that I actually feel confident doing. The thing that makes me feel like I’m making a difference in women’s lives. BOUDOIR.<\/strong> Obsessed with it, love it, want some more of it. As I started messing around with video last year, I really wanted to push myself to experiment and just have fun. It was only a few months later that a little light-bulb went off in my head.<\/p>\n BOUDOIR FILMS. yes. yes. yes.<\/strong><\/p>\n Next thing I knew I was brainstorming and putting together a personal shoot to execute the video I would use to announce this exciting news with! It was soooo much fun working with a full team on this shoot and Ebonee could not have been more perfect for my first go at it. Now before all you super professional video people rip apart my first video, just know that I KNOW it’s not perfect by any means.
