Toward the beginning of 2014 I was feeling a little restless. Perhaps a little uninspired by my own lack of motivation. I wasn’t pushing or challenging myself to do new things…to create…I was basically stuck. Not a fun time.

This led to my 2-month get-away to New York City in April and May. I just needed to try it out and get a little taste of this magical place that people speak so highly of. During this time I really challenged myself to just be present and explore. I did just that…I walked miles through that crazy city, sometimes in sneakers…sometimes in 4″ heels. I met a lot of new people, I fell in love with my craigslist roommates (totally lucked out), and I honestly found a part of me that I had not yet discovered. It was an exciting time and I’m so thankful I had those two months to refresh my mind and jump right into the wedding season when I returned to Seattle.

So the point of this blog post you ask… well I’ve decided to give myself a new little project to take on. I haven’t been this excited about something in a long time so I’m excited to share a few details before it’s all ready to go live!

I’m starting a new TRAVEL & LIFESTYLE blog!

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I am 100% obsessed with traveling this beautiful world. There have been so many times where I wanted to share the nitty-gritty details of my travels, but never felt that my wedding blog was the place for those stories to call home. From tips on how to survive a 10+ hour flight and conquer jet lag…to perfecting the squat and dodge of loogies flying your way in China. real talk. The new blog is not only going to be a place where I share my travels, but it will be a place where I share personal thoughts, style inspirations, DIY tutorials, portraits/stories of other inspiring humans, and even a few hair tutorials that I’ve been asked 1,532 times to do. It’s a place where anything goes, love it or hate it…it’s a place of no filters and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

The site will be up and running starting NEXT WEEK! If you are excited to follow along, say hello in the comments below and let me know what kind of posts you’d like to see! Anything goes.
