2012 is doing it’s thing. There is no doubt about that.
It’s only half way through and so many amazing things have happened in my life. Don’t get me wrong…there have been it’s low points, but everyone has those seasons right? I’m full swing into my second year of doing wedding photography full time and I am so so so blessed with the couples who have chosen me as their wedding photographer. I’m busy…and I love it. Aside from my business, I’ve been able to watch other photographers and friends accomplish goals that make me so proud to be a part of their lives.
But one thing takes the cake…
On April 27th, 2012 I was told the most exciting news of the year. Nothing will take it’s place.
The night before my sister’s wedding day, her and her now husband, Donald, called me into their hotel room…We all sat on the bed hanging out and then my sister says, “Hey look at this…” and hands me her cell phone. I stare blankly at a photo that reads something is “positive”…I look at her…back at the phone…then back at her once more. “ARE YOU EFFIN KIDDING MEEEEE!!!!!!!!!” As tears begin to form in my eyes, I realize at that moment…nothing will be the same…
My dear sweet sister is PREGNANT.
Yup, you read that right. Bun in the oven. Expecting. Knocked up. Her eggo is preggo people. And I couldn’t be happier. Our family is about to grow, roles are about to change and develop…such exciting times. I’m going to be an aunt and even thinking about it makes me want to cry tears of happiness. This is my sister’s YEAR, for suuuuure. Married. New job. Moved to a new city. And to top it off, oh why not be pregnant right?! Love it.
You all now have about six months to prepare yourselves before I start posting tons of photos of my new nephew or niece! My oh my!

Awww it is true! Sharing that news with you was about as amazing as your instant love for the little one growing inside me. You’re going to be the BEST aunt and my kiddo will also have the BEST photos. 😉 Baby can feel your love already. Thanks for sharing in the joy and posting this.

Becoming an aunt for the first time is such a blessing. The love you will experience is unimaginable! When their first born you will realize what you will do to protect, guide, encourage and embrace that little one. I have a Bruce and nephew, 2 and 2 months…just when you thought you took a lot of pictures, just wait till their here! Lol
Just saw this post lady – CONGRATS! You are going to be an amazingly rad Aunt… it’s seriously one of the best things to be! Looking forward to the overload of cute niece/nephew photos. 🙂
