Getting away this weekend came at the perfect time. There is nothing I love more than taking spontaneous mini-road trips just to get out of town or to go visit friends. This past weekend my friend Ai and I (yep, just like it sounds…I & I) traveled up to Canada to visit some friends and enjoy the weekend doing whatever we felt like. Saturday was a beautiful day so we decided to head to Grouse Mountain to go snowboarding. The view from up there is absolutely breathtaking (my little iphone photos don’t do it justice).
Here a are a few little highlights from my weekend:
* Finally gave snowboarding a real shot (I’m a skier). Nearly broke my wrist, but besides that I had a lot of fun trying it.
* Drank more tea than I probably consume in a whole week. I was in tea-heaven.
* Had my first bucket of Poutine at Fritz. YUMMMMM.
* Also had the best cup of hot chocolate ever from Blenz Coffee. If you know me, you know how obsessed I am with hot chocolate! (Hot chocolate snob right here)
* Tried alcohol-infused gummy bears. Not good.
* Sat on a toilet that had more buttons than my tv remote. And the seat was heated…
* Finally went to a legit Dim Sum restaurant and tried many new things. Like duck feet.
* Went to Duty-Free for the first time and happened to catch the Superbowl Halftime show. Awesome.
Well that is my weekend in a nutshell. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Happy Monday.

So fun! I enjoy reading about fun times you’ve had! But duck feet? …is there any substance to eat on them anyway? That’s pretty crazy eating. 😀 I give you lots of credit!
so cool! I love this pic recap!
Just saw these! Come back soon 🙂
Just stumbled upon your website by browsing local photographers.. and what a surprise to see a familiar face. I took a class at UW with Sarah. What a small world! Love the pics!
