Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day is the one holiday that I somehow never remember. I always know it’s sometime during the month of February, but for the longest time I could just never remember the date. Weird, I know. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those people who loath Valentine’s Day…I actually think this holiday is quite cute…and fun. Of course it’s not very fun if you’re going through a break-up…so any ladies out there not feelin’ today, I totally feel your pain. Been there. But no worries…tomorrow is just a regular day so eat lots of chocolate and have some wine. Any holiday that encourages eating lots of chocolate is my kind of holiday. Mmmm…
For all you lovers out there…make today extra special.
Hug your hunny extra tight.
Surprise her flowers and chocolate.
Add one more I love you, just for fun.
Tell each other what you appreciate about one another.
Don’t get lost in the gifts, celebrate your love. It’s unlike anyone else’s…that’s pretty damn special.
I thought today I would share a few of my favorite DIY Valentine’s Day ideas that I’ve stumbled upon within this last week. I chose these because they are all super simple, cute, and you can enjoy them whether you’re in a relationship or single! Hope everyone enjoys today.
xoxo.
#1. One of my favorite blogs: A Beautiful Mess..if you don’t follow this blog, you should. Elsie and Emma are the cutest and their blog is so much fun. If you know me, you know how obsessed I am with any kind of hot chocolate (since I hate coffee). Check out this Red Velvet Hot Chocolate Recipe. YUM.
#2. Richelle Hunter is an awesome photography who shared a way to create the cutest Valentine’s Day nail art. Check it out HERE.
#3. Jeran over at Oleander and Palm shows how to create this Giant Geometric Wall Heart! I love this so much.
#4. Found this one on Pinterest and I’ve always loved it. Use all your polaroids to create this adorable wall art. And bonus, you can leave it up year-round!
#5. Alison over at the Alison Show shows how to create this awesome hair bow! Love it. I think I need one of these.
#6. And once again, the lovely ladies over at A Beautiful Mess share how they created these cute His & Her Sharpie Mugs…you can also use this idea for other holidays or just because!
And here is what I was working on this morning for a special someone. The inspiration for this little project once again came from Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess. Check out her version, I’m obsessed with it. Such a fun, sweet idea.
