It’s here. It’s finally here.
I have been so excited to post this wedding! I don’t even know where to begin with describing this wedding day to you all. If I had to sum this entire day up into just one word, the word would be…love. I know it sounds kind of corny, but seriously there is no other word than that. I describe this day with the word love because that is what was surrounding Ashley and Shan the entire day. From the moment I walked into the room where Ashley was getting ready, there was a calm and serene energy coming from everyone. No one was stressed…it was the craziest thing, I mean come on…there is always ONE crazy stress ball at every wedding. Admit it. Well as I’m walking around, scouting out the venue, I hear yelling coming from a bunch of trailers…what the heck is going on?! My first thought is, “shouldn’t you all be getting ready or something!” haha…come to find out, a WSU game was on and well…lets just say there were a lot of WAZZU fans at this wedding : ) but this should give you a better idea about the vibe of this day….laid-back, easy, and fun. So besides the overwhelming amounts of love that danced throughout the air that day, I must say that Ashley and Shan put together a perfect fall wedding. The details and colors really blew my mind. And to find out that most of the decorations were DIY projects, well that just made me fall more in love with this wedding.
I could go on and on about how much I love Ashley and Shan, but all I have to really say is that I truly admire the way you two love and care for one another. Just being around them on their wedding day I was able to witness those loving moments…like when Ashley would look away to do something, I would catch Shan just staring at his bride in complete amazement. I still have to pinch myself from time to time when I realize that my job is to capture the love between two individuals. I could not be more thankful for that. Ashley and Shan, I know I tell you this all the time but I couldn’t mean it more…thank you, thank you, thank you, for letting me a part of your special day. It was truly an honor to capture the love that you two have for one another.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys this post! Be sure to leave these two some seriously love!
The setting of this Wedding was breathtaking. And the mood of the day was perfect, everyone was so relaxed just hanging out, watching the game, having a beer, enjoying each others company. It was great.
And here is the beautiful bride getting ready for her big day!
This was so adorable, the little flower girl was walking around in Ashley’s shoes. She is going to be a beautiful bride someday too!
This pretty much sums up Ashley on her wedding day. Calm and laid-back yet elegant and poised.
Secretly in love with this sofa…
And here is Shan getting ready for his big day!
This series makes me laugh every time! This butt-grab has Ashley written all over it. I’m already a huge fan of doing a “First Look” but for a bride to do it this way…pretty much made my day!
❤
So just a warning ahead of time…there are a ton of photos of these two gorgeous people! I couldn’t help it…seriously. I probably could have photographed them all day!
Love, love, love.
There are also a ton of photos of Ashley because HELLO, she is absolutely stunning. Oh Ashley, just stop it. ❤
❤
Alright Shan, you aren’t too bad yourself. (they are going to have pretty babies, don’t you think?!)
One of my favorites from the day.
Swoooon.
❤
Ashley, I just adore you.
Rawr.
I can’t even tell you how much I loved the back of Ashley’s dress.
❤❤❤
I also loved Ashley’s headpiece that she bought off Etsy. So simple.
You girls are so gorgeous. Thank you for being such awesome bridesmaids!
Such a fun group of people!
I loved this idea. Ashley and Shan used Shan’s great-great-grandfathers bible to hold their rings. He was born in 1863 and used this bible to teach Sunday school. So awesome.
Getting ready for the ceremony!
Way too many cute kids at this wedding.
❤
Another favorite shot from the day, his face says it all.
These two are always smiling and laughing. Love that.
Woo-hooo!!! Finally married! ❤
After the ceremony, Ashley and Shan agreed to take some more photos since the harsh sun had gone behind the mountains. I just adore this first shot.
You might have seen this shot in their sneak peek blog post, but how could I not show it again? I mean seriously.
Favooorite. ❤
Ok another favorite! Haha I had such a hard time narrowing it down!
Can’t get enough of these two love birds. ❤
I could also go on forever about the wonderful details this wedding had! Ashley and Shan were SO creative and everything came together perfectly. I loved this idea too, Ashley and Shan love cooking together…so for their sign-in book they used a recipe book!
Every detail for this wedding made me feel all warm inside. All I wanted to do was curl up next to a fire with a cup of hot cider and gaze at the beautiful stars. Any wedding that can make me feel this way…is a winner in my book! : )
Isn’t this is coolest cake display! Ashley and Shan had the cakes displayed on actual tree stumps. Awesome.
The speeches at this wedding were perfect. So much love surrounded Ashley and Shan the entire day.
Love this series. You go girl.
One of my favorite First-Dance shots. ❤ I just love watching the way Shan cares for Ashley.
This is seriously making me consider having a fall wedding of my own someday!
Gorgeous ring.
Alright…TIME TO PARTY. And if anyone knows how to throw a party, it’s them.
Ashley’s sorority sisters had a little surprise for Ashley!
I love these photos of Ashley and her dad partying it up!
Oh Justin, thank you for keeping us all very entertained that night. : )
Whew…you made it through! Thank you again Ashley and Shan for sharing your wedding day with me and all the blog readers! Your wedding was nothing short of amazing and people are still talking about it. That’s how you know it was good. Really good. : )
Love you guys.
