I’m a true believer in paying it forward. When I started to dip my toes into photography, all I wanted was to have five minutes to pick the brains of other photographers I looked up to. I was so completely lucky that the handful of photographers I reached out to, took the time to answer my questions and a few even met for coffee just to hang. Those same photographers are still my friends to this day and I’m forever grateful for their willingness to help. I’ll never say that I know it all, or that I know the best way to do things…because the truth is that I don’t. I’m still very much learning myself and I hope I’m always continuing to learn to improve my business. Whatever information I have about this business, I’m always willing to share my thoughts and personal experience with it.

Biggest piece of advice: don’t look side to side, look straight ahead and don’t stop pushing yourself forward. We have all fallen victim to being in the trap of comparison, even me. It’s so easy to get discouraged and down on yourself when you start to compare your work to other photographers. Stop spending so much time browsing through blogs and get out there and shoot! Develop your own style. Your own voice. Create a business that is 100% YOU to the core that you are proud of. Success will follow, I promise.
