So I must warn you all…this is a personal post. If you’d like to skip this post and wait for the next one…I won’t hold it against you!
For about a month or so now, I feel like so much has been going on but at the same time it feels like nothing has. Make sense?…well of course it does. (Just nod your head in agreement.) God has definitely been working in my heart and challenging me with lots of stuff! As hard as it may be, I know He is growing me and preparing me for things that may come my way in the near future. He has placed some very interesting desires in my heart…and as much as I try to ignore them, they just wont go away! Which means I’ve been struggling with what could be some huge decisions. I’m trying not to get too ahead of myself though…taking it day by day.
So a little off subject (which this whole post will be)…I almost got hit by a car last night. I mean, literally…almost died. Okay maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but my hands did fly onto his car and when I looked down my toes were up against his tires! Pretty dang close if you ask me…too close for comfort anyway. OH…and to top it off, he slams on his breaks, looks at me and my friend Akane, and gives us the death glare and drives off! As if it were our faults. Hmm, weird human. So why am I telling this story? Well first of all because it’s a pretty good story, and second of all it got me really thinking about my life. About life in general…how precious it is. So often I get caught up in things that really don’t matter, God reminds me of this ALL the time…Oh, what a comedian He is! There is so much I want to do on this earth, but never seem to know where to start. It’s quite frustrating really…But I feel like the rest of this year is going to bring lots of change and opportunities, and I’m just really excited to see how it all plays out.
For those of you who are like me and sometimes fear change, I leave you with this verse because it is so comforting.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand.
And thats a promise folks!
So this week has been extra busy so I’m sorry if the blog isn’t seeing much love, but things are getting done and it is good. But last week my good friend Ashley contacted me about a shoot. I have so many great things to say about Ashley, she is seriously the sweetest human. She is a woman of God, a dreamer, an artist, a lover, and just an overall genuine girl…with a bad ass hair style that I’m OH so jealous of! We were able to get together yesterday to challenge our creative muscles and just have some fun shooting. The day could not have been more perfect. We explored, laughed, created, and enjoyed the simple beauty this world offers.
I thought I’d leave you all with a little sneak peek at what we were up to. Our concept was basically just something raw and natural…simple.
Hope everyone is having a great week so far. Take some time to work those creative muscles people…
Enjoy some of my favorites from the day!
